  1. Pair up the phrases so they make funny business slogans.
  2. For each pair, add the numbers together to get an index.
  3. Index into the slogans to extract a letter.
  4. The extracted letters, in order, spell READ THE ENDS.
  5. Reading the end letters of the slogans provides the final answer.

  1. Each of the clues on the right produces a 5 letter answer. The answers are in alphabetical order.
  2. Each answer fits in one row in the grid.
  3. The answers to the clues in Bart's Path can be found in a winding path through the grid from top to bottom.
  4. The top 3 words in the grid are CYCLE, SALON, and SUGAR. The first word in Bart's Path is CLASS, which can be found by starting at the middle C in CYCLE, traveling down and to the left covering the LAS (backwards) in SALON, and then down to the S in SUGAR.
  5. The remaining path answers can be found by winding left and right downward through the grid.
  6. The final extracted answer can be found by taking the bold letters that Bart crosses in his path.

Writing at the Chalkboard

  1. The pairs can be separated into two phrases that Bart might write on the chalkboard in detention.
  2. The pairs contain the following words (in order): DUNG, HALLS, PERSON, PARDON, DRILLS and BUTTHEAD
  3. The ?s are replaced with the letters from A-G, which show the intended extraction order.
  4. When placed in that order, the letters in the boldfaced boxes spell the answer.

Watching Itchy and Scratchy

  1. Solve the Slant puzzles. Full rules and hints for solving Slant puzzles can be found online. Start with squares with 0 and 4, or edge squares with 2.
  2. Once the puzzles are solved, count the triangles in each of the labeled paths that Itchy and Scratchy might take.
  3. Convert those numbers to letters via A1-Z26.

  1. Find answers that could fit the correct test clues and Bart's incorrect definitions. Some of them are homophones.
  2. Read the pairs of gray letters and put them in the blanks at the bottom, with the left gray letter in each going in the left set of blanks and with the right letter going in the right set.
  3. These spell the messages JUSTIN TRUDEAUS FATHER : BREATHES LIKE A WARM DOG. What are the answers to these two clues?

  1. The Drop-Quote (err, Drop-Name?) puzzle at the top yields four more punny names.
  2. The punny names are: IVAN TASMOOTCH, MAYA BUTWREAKS, MIKE ROTCHURTZ, and YURI NELEEKIN.
  3. Pair up the four new punny names and the four feeder puzzle answer names by the themes shown in the images, with the shorter and longer overall names on the left or right as indicated.
  4. Read out the gray boxes for the final answer.
